Regulations UIV 6-Day Talents Cup 2004/2005

 


 

Article 01. The "UIV International 6-Day Talents Under 23 Madison Cup" (UIV 6-Day Talents Cup) is organised by Union Internationale des Vélodromes in co-operation with the members of UIV. The UIV 6-Day Talents Cup 2004/2005 consists of the 9 "Talents 6-days", organised within the frames of the Elite 6-days in Amsterdam (3-days), Dortmund (3-days), Munich, Gent, Rotterdam (3-days), Bremen, Stuttgart (3-days), Berlin and Copenhagen.

Article 02. Participation
Article 02.01. The UIV 6-Days Talents Cup is open for riders in the "Under 23"category (riders 19 – 22 years). The participation of juniors (17 – 18 years) or Elite’s of 24 and 25 years can be allowed, but not both categories together. Which categories who can start besides the U 23 is a choice of the organiser.
A rider, who is under 23, when he enters the first leg of the Cup may participate in all legs of the running Cup, even if he passes the age of 23 before the last leg.
Article 02.02. The Cup is open also to riders under 23, belonging to Trade Teams I or II.
Article 02.03. The Cup is a Team-Event, open for national teams as well as mixed teams.
Article 02.04. When a team/rider has ridden more than three Elite 6-Days in the same season, it is not possible to participate in the UIV 6-Day Talents Cup again during that season. The winter-season defined ad from 1st of October until 31st of March.

Article 03. Enrolment
Article 03.01. Every organiser decides how many teams he can invite to his race.
Article 03.02. National candidates applies directly to the local organiser.
Article 03.03. Foreign candidates may apply directly (or through their federations) to the local organiser or to the UIV-Co-ordinator.
Article 03.04. Foreign teams are chosen by the organiser after consultation with the UIV-Co-ordinator (in order to secure that consideration is given to all qualified teams).
Article 03.05. In the case there are more entries than the organiser can accept, the teams will be selected. The three best teams in the actual overall classification shall always be given the possibility to enter the coming leg, and for the final leg the six best teams. The other teams will be selected by the organiser after consultation of the UIV-Co-ordinator.

Article 04. Program
Article 04.01. The organiser is free to set his program as he wishes with the following obligations:
Article 04.02. The regulations must be accordingly to the rules of the UCI.
Article 04.03. Madison / Americaine must be a decisive part of the program.
Article 04.04. The classification must be a classification for teams and every discipline must count for the overall classification. The overall classification shall be based only on stage-points, not considering laps gained and lost during the stages.

Article 05. Financial conditions
Article 05.01. The organiser offers free accommodations for recognised teams (2 riders and maximal 1 personal) but no traval-fees.

Article 06. Classification
Article 06.01. For the final result in each leg the following points are given for the overall classification in the UIV 6-Day Talents Cup:

6-days:
1st 18 pnts.
2nd 15 pnts.
3rd 12 pnts.
4th 10 pnts.
5th 8 pnts.
6th 6 pnts.
7th 4 pnts.
8th 3 pnts.
9th 2 pnts.

3-days:
1st 12 pnts.
2nd 10 pnts.
3rd 8pnts
4th 6 pnts.
5th 5 pnts.
6th 4pnts
7th 3 pnts.
8th 2 pnts.
9th 1 pnt.

For all other accomplishing teams 2 respectively 1 points.
Article 06.02. To distinguish team with equal points, account shall be taken of the finishing order of the teams in the final leg. In the final classification of the UIV 6-Day Talents Cup only the four best result for each team are taken in consideration.

Article 07. Price-money
Article 07.01. Price-money in the single Events (legs) is paid by the organisers accordingly to the local standards.
Article 07.02. Price-money in the overall classification of the UIV 6-Day Talents Cup are paid by UIV as follows (per team):

1st € 1.000,-
2nd € 800,-
3rd € 600,-
4th € 500,-
5th € 400,-
6th € 200,-
Total: € 3.500,-

Article 07.03. UIV can with the acceptance of the local organiser introduce a leader- tricot for the leading team in the UIV Cup.

Article 08. Benefits for the riders
Article 08.01. The winner of each Event are offered contracts for the next years Elite 6-days on the same track, only when this team is classified in the first three of the overall classification.
Article 08.02. The overall winners of the UIV 6-Day Talents Cup are offered at least three contracts in next winters 6-days.

UIV Madison Cup regulations 2003/04

 

Regulations UIV Cup

For the final result in each leg the following points are given for the overall classement in the UIV Cup: No. 1: 12 p., No. 2: 10 p., No. 3: 8 p., No. 4: 6 p., No. 5: 5 p., No. 6: 4 p., No. 7: 3 p., No. 8: 2 p. and 1 point for all other accomplishing teams.
For the stage results in each leg are given: No. 1: 3 p., No. 2: 2 p. and No. 3: 1 p. In the final classement of the UIV Cup only the four best results for each team are taken in consideration.

Price-money
Price-money in the single events (legs) is paid by the organisers accordingly to the local standards.
Price-money in the overall classement of the UIV cup are paid by UIV as follows: No. 1: 2 x 1.000, No. 2: 2 x 600, No. 3: 2 x 400, No. 4: 2 x 300. Total: 4.600.

Benefits for the riders
The winner of each event are offered contracts for next years elite 6-days on the same track. The overall winners of the UIV Cup are offered at least three contracts in next winters 6-days.
