Raven photos

White Raven 1
The White-speckled Raven, previously living on Faroe Islands, here photographed at Danish Zoo Museum, Copenhagen 1986. The last living specimen was shot 1902.

White Raven 2
The white-speckled Raven once more. Large numbers of hunted birds were sent down from the Faroe Islands.
For this reason Zoo Museum of Copenhagen has large numbers of White Raven skin in stock (all in more or less reasonable condition).

White Raven 3
The white-speckled Raven once again.

Common Black Raven
Photographed in Copenhagen Zoo, May 1985.
Ain't it a beauty!

Young Raven
This is a young Raven, about one year old. Note the shades of colours in the plumage.
Copenhagen Zoo, June 1986.

Fully grown Raven
A fully grown Raven, which is to be judged by the grey "beard".
Copenhagen Zoo, Oct. 31, 1986.

Carsten Siems has photographed a young Raven at Runde (Norway):

I started photographing this creature from a distance, then little by little moving closer. It seemed to be occupied by its own private small talking while simultaneously polishing its plumage. Finally, it was just about six or seven meters away, while I kept on photographing. A fine experience from the southernmost bird cliff of Norway, at Runde, South of Ålesund.
